Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long will it take for my carpet or upholstery to dry?

A: Drying time is directly related to how much humidity is slowing down the drying process. If you have an entire home done, the drying process takes longer than a single room. For fabrics to be 100% dry we recommend 6 to 12 hours of drying time. Fans speed the process up as well. Accent uses commercial fans during the restoration process to expedite the process!

Q: Can I walk on wet carpet?

A: Safety is our first concern. You can easily slip moving from wet carpet to hard surface floors. Accent provides booties when you must walk on the carpet to ensure no dirt gets tracked on the freshly cleaned carpets!

Q: What are the dark lines around the edges of my carpet?

A: This is called filtration. This is a sign that the edges of the carpet need to be vacuumed better in the future. It also happens when candles are burnt often in a home. To remove the darkened lines is time consuming and not always 100% removable.

Q: Why do I have spots that keep coming back?

A: That is usually a sign that something is soaked into the pad under the carpet. It can also be from a cleaning tech that is using the wrong methods to get the spot out.

Q: Can you get Kool-Aid out of my carpet?

A: Generally we have a 50% success rate. The worst the stain the worst the odds are of getting it 100% out
