About Us
Over the past 20 years Accent has gained the trust of the entire metro community in providing many types of service work. Accent employs 60 people in eight divisions: Kitchen & Bath, Remodeling Design-Build, Handyman, Painting, House Cleaning, Janitorial, Carpet Cleaning, and Emergency Service.
Accent Contracting Inc. was founded in 1987 by Mike Arnold. The company was originally known as Today's Maids Inc. In 1996 Today's Maids Inc. bought the company assets of Accent Improvement from Mike Larson. At that date the company became Accent Contracting.
In 2004 Tom Spaeth was brought in as a partner. Tom is responsible for overseeing the Remodeling, Handyman & Bathrooms by Accent divisions. With 17 years under it's belt, Accent Contracting has worked for thousands in the metro area. They have been proud to serve the business community, the medical industry, the local colleges & of course private property owners.
Accent is excited to announce they are adding another division to their company, Accent Kitchen and Bath. Accent will sell all the products for the kitchen and bathroom: custom cabinets, plumbing fixtures, counter tops, tile, etc. They are moving to a new location at 3151 Main Avenue this summer. An extensive remodeling of the building is planned. A complete showroom for the Remodeling division and the Kitchen and Bath division will be completed by August.
Accent Remodeling is a Design Build division that specializes in getting customers the design help they need when remodeling. This includes small room renovations to major additions for both commercial and residential. Accent also provides products for the new construction industry as well.
Other items that will be featured in the showroom are: Doors and windows, Siding and roofing, Steam Showers & Millwork. Most all of the products Accent carries will be sold as installed sales vs. a do-it-yourself type of an outlet.
Accent's featured product in the showroom will be their custom cabinets. They pride themselves on all of the latest: stain & paint finishes, green friendly products and techniques, and multiple wood species. Accent has several price points in their line making dream kitchens affordable for a wide range of budgets. The cabinets will be displayed in several settings from kitchens, vanities, mud rooms, entertainment, craft and sewing, fireplace, office, and more.
The other unique aspect of buying from Accent is the vast installation knowledge. Accent prides itself on delivering projects as budgeted with designs that meet customers expectations. No body likes surprises or disappointment from an ill planned project. Accent staff are seasoned veterans that know the industry inside and out.
